PRE-K AND KINDERGARTEN

In all classes, the children are afforded blocks of time for Bible stories, music and art, learning centers, physical education, and the Libreary.

-K program, activities utilizing learning centers encourage motor, intellectual and spiritual development, as well as creative and imaginative play. The curriculum includes a reading readiness program that emphasizes listening skills, language development, reading skills, manuscript writing, character and social development. Students learn to recognize simple shapes and colors and begin to work with concepts of more/less, larger/smaller.

In the Kindergarten program, children begin to attend a weekly Chapel service. The A-Beka reading readiness curriculum emphasizes listening skills, oral language development, reading skills, manuscript writing, and social skills. Students learn to count and recognize numbers from 0 to 100. They learn to recognize simple shapes and begin to work with concepts of more/less and larger/smaller. Learning stations and multi- sensory instruction are used to enhance the strong basic skills curriculum.
